Jim's 74 Vette Page

Hello: My name is Jim Pernice, I live in Derby Ks. I am the proud owner of this 74 L-48 coupe.I had been looking for a winter project for some time when I found her. I rescued her from a back yard in Wichita where she had been sitting for several years. She wasn't much to look at,(see pictures below) but I knew she had possibilities.

This is a #'s matching 74 with some low options. The original color of the car was silver mist. It had been repainted in the 80's the same color. The engine is the base 350 with a turbo 400 auto. Standard black interior. It is a non air, non power brakes car. It does have the Gymkhana suspension and power windows. Its the 19,630th car built in 74.

Stripping the paint was the first priority. The old bumpers were split so I replaced the front and rear bumpers with fiberglass bumpers.
