This is my '69 convertible. It features a 350 and 4 speed. No air, not even power steering. But it is still a blast to drive! The motor features an aluminum intake, Holley carb, headers, a pretty lumpy cam, Edelbrock aluminum heads, and other go-fast goodies. At the dyno, we got 275 hp and 325 ft-lbs torque at the rear wheels. I made a couple of passes at our 1/8 mile drag strip, but with the street tires the best I could manage was an 8.96. Sticky tires ought to knock another tenth or two off of that.
This is my other fast car, an '87 Buick Turbo Regal. Not nearly as flashy as the Vette, but sometimes stealth has its advantages! It features a turbocharged 3.8 liter V6 (same drivetrain as the more famous Grand National). My best ET to date has been an 8.26, at just over 80 MPH in the 1/8 mile. Since that time, I have installed a bigger turbo and injectors. Just got to get it dialed in now!
