Woodworkr's Corvette Page

Welcome everyone! Hope You Enjoy

This is my present 1976 Corvette. I have been working on her for the past 4 years, doing most of the work myself. When I bought the car it had been repainted in black. So the first order of business was to get her into the body shop and get to work. I stripped her down to glass to see if there was any body damage anywhere and I was surprised to see there was not a mark on her. This picture was taken when I still lived in New York. It was the first time that this car had ever seen any weather other then clear and sunny. This particular snowfall was one of those that only fell on the grass and not on the streets or sidewalks, otherwise it would have never left the garage. The odometer on the car says 101,000, aside from the odometer itself the only other thing on the car that has that milage on it is maybe the shifter knob. The entire drive train and suspension has been rebuilt. It has an L-82 motor, turbo 350 auto transmission with a moderate shift kit, and a new 308 rear. That is the only thing that I regret, when I sent the rear out I should have went with either 323's or 355's. Oh well next time.

Since I am not a very good writer I will just give a brief description of what is to follow. The next 2 pictures are of the '76 as I bought it and during the body restoration.

This is the 76 in the seller's driveway. As you can see it is a pretty clean car to begin with.
