This picture is after the black paint was all stripped off and the body was being prepared for paint. 14 coats of lacquer was used but in the last 4 coats clear was added to the red paint to try and create some depth in the paint.
As is shown on the first page this is the completed product. The entire process took about 4 months from start to finish.
This is my first Corvette and my very first attempt at painting. This car was taken to glass (as were all 3 of the Corvettes that I have painted) but I painted this with custom paints. The color was Ice Blue Pearl over silver and gold ground coats.
