Borla Mufflers

I bought a set Borla 40665 mufflers recently. The exhaust system on the Vette consists of Hooker 1 7/8" headers, 2.5" dual tubing, an X-pipe, a set of Dynomax race bullets as resonators and the borla mufflers in the stock location. I modified the stock tips to 2.5" (factory is only 2").

First drive with the new mufflers showed some low frequency droning, which I traced to some very stiff exhaust hangers. I replaced the the hangers with an OEM style rubber donut system which cured the drone.
