MY VIRTUAL GARAGE

I decided to take my few years of Corvette ownership and capture them in a webpage. My TECH TALK section is full of useful info for everyone.

MY CORVETTE HISTORY

In August of 1996, I became the proud owner of a 1987 Corvette Coupe, my first ever Corvette. It was a gold/brown two-tone Z52 coupe with a 4+3 and just 44k miles. I loved the car and took excellent care of it. However, as I owned it, I realized that there were other 4th generation Corvettes that were much better. I began to want a white, red, or black 1989 Z-51 6-spd coupe. However, I could never sell my first Vette for love or money.

On January 24 of 2001, my 1987 Corvette met the broad side of a Ford Explorer head-on at about 20 mph. That was enough to total the car. See it here. The accident was not my fault, and I received a $10k check and kept my damaged car too. I sold the car sight-unseen for $2300 to a dismantler in Texas named Brian German. He is great to deal with, so have confidence if you ever do business with him.

I decided to seek a low-mileage 1989 Z-51 6-spd coupe. After an exhaustive and unsuccessful search, I decided to loosen my requirements. I purchased my car, an ULTRA-clean 1993 6-spd coupe, from West Coast Corvette on February 26th, 2001. See it here. West Coast Corvette deals only in low-mileage, pristine condition Corvettes. I've never seen so many fine Corvettes as I've seen in their showroom.
