In the above 2 pictures, I am rippin off some 1.51 60's @ 10.9s during the 2008 NCC May 10th.......starting off 2008 good!
Below is my best 2007 run NA so far.....
4-10-2008:
The 2 launch pictures above and one below were from my track rental of 11-9-2007.
I was getting the car tire pressure dialed in with 1.54 60’s and 10.91 ets……on near new 26 x 11.50 x 17" Mt ET Street on PWO Y2K 5 spoke 17 x 8.5 repos………when the tranny started dumping fluid. DAM, I was dialing in some 1.4Xs and 10.8x times………..oh well, 2008 here I come at the end of April! I stayed on the T-brake to much this year and put a mild hurt on the tranny pump, planetaries and some bushings.
All is well now and I am putting it back in this month
Racin in the Mid-Atlantic Corvette Challenge
I had a great time with the NCM full course for 2 days at VIR! 3.27 mile road course early in July 2007.
The old 97’ does just fine on a road course with Hoosiers and my right foot. Was pointed by MANY times and passed a lot of C6ZO6s in the straights and hung with many in the corners……stock F45 suspension to boot…….160+MPH in the straights and 105+ in the climbing ssssssssss. 97’ did fine as I dogged the shit out of it for 2 days.
All on pump gas. Got about 8 MPG and put over 180 track miles on it!
Got the oil to 325 & trans to 274 in 90+ heat………….then drag raced it the next few weekend and took the R/U spot without a hitch running low 11s in 90+ degree heat. Man I love this car!!!!!!!!!
I tried something different for our 3-24-07 Relay for Life Waterside Carshow...........took the HREs off the vert and put them on the coupe. Looked good!
A little of my action from the February 24th 2007 Carolina Auto Masters National Corvette Challenge. 1.47 60's and a best of 10.82@ 125+. A real nice day to have near 130 Vettes racing! See the link below for more info.
I got a little National Press on page 108 of (July 2006) Fastest Street Car Magazine for my 97'
This car has 24K+ miles, automatic transmission with Vigilante 3000 stall converter, VARARAM induction, SLP MAF, ported throttlebody, CNC Stage I heads, LS6 intake, B&B TriFlo shorty headers, Corsa X-pipe, Corsa Touring exhaust with Speedway tips,3.42 differential, Baer Eradispeed 2 piece rotors (front and rear), Z06 Calipers, HRE 545 wheels wrapped with 265/35/18 Yokohama AVS Sports up front and 295/35/19s in the rear, RK Sport Carbon fiber engine dress-up package, Euro taillights and computer programming done by Jeff Creech at
11/11/05 best with the 00' vert :
12.08 @ 113.09 with 7.70/8 @ 89.86 with a 1.690' on 275/35/18 bfg drs.
.......after the PRT install 11's for sure
A few pictures from our 1997 Corvette that now has a 6 point Roll Bar & 2" mini tub to clear 345/30/18 Drag radials........2/22/04 it ran a 11.06 @ 121.49 60'=1.53, 1/8=7.04 @97.6 in street trim(3680#).
On ET streets last year it ran 10.85 @ 127 NA w/o a roll bar or tubs. I am sure I have added 100 lbs to the car.
I will get 10's on my street tires this year

*********UPDATE*********
I ran a 10.97@122.45 on my BFG 345/30/18 drs at Richmond Dragway on 3/14/04.
60'=1.52, 1/8=6.99@98.81, 1/4=10.97@122.45mph (3,680 lbs. race ready)
This is what a 1.52 60' looks like on BFG G-force 345/30/18s.....
As for runing mid 10s.......considering it has stock 245/45/17 runflats on the front, TR6 plugs in it(For NOs), weighs 3680, run with a full tank of pump gas for traction on drs and hitting the rev limiter on 1-2 a few times and on the top end every time........it has some more in it.
I will tweak it before I go to slicks and get kicked out for pushing the button......9s w/o a cage......YET
Once I get my TC lock-up switch or taller tires,
my quest for 1.4x on drs continues.........
This is with a 1.77 60' launch!......what does my normal 1.52 look like then.....see below!
NEW UPDATE 11/11/05
60' was the same as the Drag radial run above at a 10.97@122.45.
On 11/11/05 on et street 26 x 11.50 x 17 on Y2K 17 x 8.5" with front skinnys: 10.88@125.38

On my 5th pass of the day..........lost 3rd & OD in the tranny. The 1st failure in over 10K hard miles and over 160+ 1/4 mile passes..........not counting street ones, if I did I know it would be over 250 !
