Total production for the 1998 Indy 500 Pace Car was 1,163. The breakdown is 5 pilot cars for factory use only, 1,111 domestics, 37 exports plus 15 to Canada.

This is my Pace Car. I was fortunate to be able to pose for a photo opportunity in the winners circle at Texas Motor Speedway in Fort Worth, Texas.
My car is Indy sequence number 50 and was produced January 9, 1998. It is equipped with RPO Z4Z - Indy Pace Car, a $5,039 option, and includes RPO's:
21U - Radar Blue Exterior
41T - Black Top
PA6 - Yellow Wheels
T96 - Fog lamps
G92 - 3:15 Performance Axle
JL4 - Active Handling Package
194 - Yellow & Black Sport Seats
UNO - Delco Bose CD
CJ2 - Dual Zone AC
AAB Memory Package
AG2 - Power Seats
B34 - Embroidered Floor Mats
Unique features include: Neon Yellow Stitching on the Sport Seats, Black Leather Steering Wheel, Shift Knob, and the leather boot which covers the transmission shifter.
