I recently became the owner of a new 2001 Corvette, and this is where the exciting parts of my "Corvette Adventure" begin, at the entrance to the National Corvette Museum in Bowling Green, Kentucky. My special friend Julie took this shot just before we entered the museum to see the "Built-Just-For-Me" 2001 Navy blue coupe I ordered from Karl Johanson (877-476-1623, toll-free) of Chuck Hutton Chevrolet in Memphis, Tennessee. The museum is a rarity, in that it features only one model of car. Inside you will find a large collection of Corvettes. There is a racing display, a Corvette used in crash testing, scale models, a display honoring Zora Arkus-Duntov, the inevitable gift shop, and some of the friendliest people you could ever meet. Judy Yanko manages the delivery program, and she provided some extra service that made my delivery even better. One of the things she did was take some items I ordered from the gift shop and place them in the passenger seat, along with a card I mailed to her. These were for my friend Julie. She accompanied me on this adventure, and the gifts and card were my way of thanking her for being with me. She was certainly surprised to find the Corvette shirt and other items on her seat, before I had even opened a door.

This shot is from the web cam at the Corvette Museum. It was captured by my friend and co-worker John Zanardi. John and several of my relatives in California joined in the excitement of this special event by viewing the web cam shots on the Internet. This photo of Julie and me was taken inside the museum by Adam Boca, our museum-delivery specialist. Adam is a true Corvette enthusiast, complete with ankle tattoo. The museum experience was enhanced by Adam's love of the car.
