Rick Alexander's
C3 Corvette Coupes
This 1969 automatic base coupe was purchased from the original owner in 1997. I drove the car for about a year before starting a rolling restoration.
In the middle of the work, I was transferred from Colorado to Texas by my employer. The car sat in my garage in pieces for about 6 years before I completed the restoration. I elected to install a hp 385 crate motor and still have the original engine.
In the summer of 2006, I purchased a 1980 4 speed L-48 coupe. It was in fair condition, but needed lots of TLC. I installed a new master cylinder and new disc brake calipers. I detailed the engine compartment. I have installed a stainless steel exhaust system with new Flowmaster mufflers, new U-Joints. ball joint and serviced all transmission and rear end fluids.
I replaced power steering valve and installed a replacement steering column and the Quatrajet has been rebuilt by Lars (the master). I replaced a broken mirror T-Top and a few worn and missing interior components. All the weatherstripping has been replaced. The AC has been converted to R134A and is operational. This is a very nice driver.
