![]() This is the 59 some time ago. I started with a reasonably sound car with an excelent chassis and only a few repairs which were mainly on the drivers side front fender.
It still needed to have everything restored which I am doing in a progressive process.
I have just about finished everything but as with most classic cars you never quite finish them as there is always another part that can be improved or added.
![]() this is the 59 on Easter Sunday the day after the Brisbane 2001 show and shine just before I pulled the motor.
![]() This is my son Richie, giving me a hand with the dissasembly.
I read an article in Corvette Fever that told of how you could strip the paint off a corvette in a day using a razor blade. I thought that is was a joke but that is just how I did it. The car was painted in some sort of enamel and it stripped quite easily using this method but it had some minor repairs that had a differnt type of paint that this method didn't work. ![]() |
